BEST HOT AIR STATION – Budget MicroSoldering
I’ve been using this baby for a year now, and it’s going strong. Check it out…
WHERE I BOUGHT IT FROM: https://www.amazon.com/YIHUA-959D-Digital-Efficiency-212Β°F-932Β°F-Iron-burn/dp/B08BK3M6YW
This is not an affiliate link and I was not paid to make this video.

People often go for the Quick 861DW for their first hot air station – but unless you have extensive experience in soldering, the Yihua will meet your needs and will be a pleasure to use.
I’m a huge fan of awesome products (you probably are too) so anytime I use something which far outperforms its competitors, I will make a video on it. The same treatment will be given to garbage products.
If your reading this far… your extremely attractive lol.
Thanks!
You just helped me make my purchase decision. Thank you!
Suggest a pcb holder too
What about the best solder? What is the best? Thank you!
I don’t have any experience with heat stations and im literally just starting to self teach myself how to solder. Ive been slowly teaching myself how to soldier for about a year now, but I’ve only been able to learn once in a loonngg long while. Ive soldered a couple wires together, but they weren’t very good looking at all. A couple of them worked but the majority didn’t due to a sloppy solder job, lol.
I never had a heat station, so it did make things more difficult. Ive been wanting one since ive began teaching myself but didn’t want to pay much because i didn’t have the experience.
However, i literally just bought this exact model, brand new for a major discount of 86.2% lol. Spending only a measly 11$ for an 80$ heat station, i couldn’t pass it up. I literally just brought it home and plugged it in. So far, it seems like it works tremendously and it seems extremely easy to use!! Im looking forward to being able to continue my self teaching and learning how to solder properly!!
I just bought mine for $36 bucks, it came with solder tips, a solder sucker,
Agree with other commenters, great video, thanks! Just typing this here for the boost in the algorithm.
Wow great video I hope you do make money from the video
I have a similar unit, the Yihua 2008D, which couldn’t take a 0201 capacitor off a PS4, with it set at 500Β°C and 100% Air, with a thin angled nozzel tip.
This has made me look at more expensive units.
Could I use this for laptop usb c ports? I damaged mine and it requires a hot air rework station to remove the old port. Specifically a thinkpad t480.
Decent content. Not a fan of the bracelets, but because the content is good, I can overlook them and award you a like. Congratulations.
Straight to the point, mentions price, mentions ui, sure no teardown, but you can find tyat elsewhere. Your a champ!
thanks
What bent nozzles will fit the 959D?
Cool! How much heat can chips withstand?
Still working?
Awesome ty
With my year of experience, i dont undrdatand why people is rushing behind expensive solderiig station?.
Its better to buy a decent budget one, caliberate using temperature sensing multimeter, get uses to it .
i have cheap solder station like this one but the difference from expensive is the temperature ( air density ) expensive using air pump and this one is with fan and here is the difference you need more temperature to desolder / solder a bga chip .. for example emmc soldering temperature on expensive is around 350/360 on cheap 400-420
I didnt see any link for the clear flux. Please respond π
Sadly, i dont have $70 at the ready. I’ll hold out and wait
Finally, a video straight to the point. Imma give this a try. I really want to learn how to solder and mod/fix my gaming systems.
Thanks! This is great!
Just got one of these bad boys for $50. Thanks man!
Donβt buy this even as a beginner, spend a little extra and buy one with fan unit in the station, best to buy RF4 H2 hot air station but buy it from china if you want it Β£60 or around 75usd.
The station in the video wonβt do higher demanding stuff like consoles and laptops, Iβm not saying it wonβt do anything on them but alot of things it wonβt handle, thereβs even a review on YouTube about it and he shows how bad it is compared to a atten one
this hot air station in india official seller selling at 217 dollar in inr 18800
What temp would you set for removing analog sticks on a PS5?
What flux did u use? U never posted it in the description.
And how are the inner parts of the station the electronics and how accurate is the temperature? π€
Great video, earned like and sub. You said you wokr with it on IC chips, does it gewt job done on them easily?
Im thinking about buying the 959D but there is a 959D-II available now and I have no idea if it’s even worth it, have you worked with it yet?
Great video! Shame this thing costs me like $160 after taxes in my currency. Hopefully i can get it eventually
Are you using it with hotplate? I had one of these on from amazon, i couldn’t melt led free solder paste, but it managed to melt the handle of it, so I sent it back.
Iβm glad you showed bga chips! Iβm looking to replace a small bga chip and it seems Iβll be able to with this station.
@HarryKwastaken hey buddy i like this video do more like this. your video presentation is great
YIHUA is good company but u get scammed bec amazon is overpriced
I have a smaller Yihua and the heat JUST STOPPED in the middle of doing a bga!! Just found this video and bought this station. And I bought bent tips for $9
I had a Weller for many years and just moved a couple months ago. I believe it got thrown out in the move. I donβt think I used it more than half a dozen times and now need to rebuy a station. Thanks.
NICE VIDEO!!!
I like my 959D, as well. Though, I do like the quick-change nozzles some of the other systems have. Some techs also prefer the higher air volume of the hose-based systems, such as the Atten, Quick (and various rebadged/clones)
My 959 handle died today… no more heating. I ordered another element from aliexpress. Cannot wait to work with it again π
awesome
Quick 957DW….. got the dials!
I just bought one of these and am not disappointed.
I just bought one of these. Now I feel better about it. I’ve only used it once so far and it worked great. But then, I’m no expert using hot air stations, so what do I know. Mine came with four nozzles, the smallest one being 5mm.
My friend, what do you think about the RF4 RF-H2? compare to that?
I have had this one for a couple years now and it’s been nothing but solid its extremely worth having
Sweet, any thought to what one should do to get into the trade? Where to begin?
You should do research before you talk they all have the same interface The only one that has a garbage interface is the one that operates like a chinese stopwatch is hakko
atten st 862d or this?
